SMS Opt-In Documentation
Last updated: June 1, 2026
This document describes how Bet App collects and records user consent for receiving SMS messages, in compliance with carrier and messaging provider requirements.
How Users Opt In
During account registration, users are required to enter and verify a US phone number. On the phone verification screen, the following consent language is displayed before the user submits their phone number:
“By providing your phone number, you consent to receive SMS messages from Bet App for account verification and security purposes. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out.”
Users must actively enter their phone number and tap a verification button to proceed, constituting explicit opt-in consent.
Message Types
- Verification Codes: One-time codes sent during account registration to verify the user’s phone number
- Two-Factor Authentication Codes: One-time codes sent at login when the user has enabled SMS-based 2FA
Bet App does not send marketing, promotional, or advertising messages via SMS.
Message Frequency
- 1-2 messages during initial account registration and phone verification
- 1 message per login attempt when SMS two-factor authentication is enabled
Opt-Out
Users may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message received from Bet App. Users may also disable SMS-based two-factor authentication in their account settings within the app. Upon opting out, no further SMS messages will be sent unless the user re-enables SMS 2FA.
Help
Users may reply HELP to any SMS message for assistance. Users may also contact Bet App directly at service@betonyouapp.com for support with SMS-related issues.
