Bet App LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), a Wyoming limited liability company, operates the Bet App mobile application (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our Service. This Service is intended for users aged 18 and older who are residents of the United States.
1. Categories of Personal Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal information as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
- Identifiers: Name, email address, phone number, username, and account ID
- Financial Information: Payment method details (last four digits, card brand, expiration date) are collected and processed securely by Stripe, Inc. We do not store full card numbers or payment credentials
- Commercial Information: Commitment details (type, duration, Stake amount, reported outcomes), transaction history, and Stake records
- Internet or Network Activity: Device type, operating system, app version, IP address, usage patterns, and interaction data
- Inferred Location: Our third-party service providers (such as Stripe and Firebase) may log IP addresses, which can infer approximate location. We do not actively collect or store geolocation data
- Communications: Contact form submissions and any information you provide when contacting us
- Security Information: Two-factor authentication preferences and verification records
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Process commitments and Stakes
- Verify your identity and phone number
- Send account verification and security messages via SMS
- Communicate with you about your account and the Service
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service
- Comply with legal obligations
3. SMS Communications
We send SMS messages solely for account verification and two-factor authentication (2FA) security purposes. We do not send marketing messages via SMS.
Message frequency varies: typically 1-2 messages during account registration and 1 message per login when SMS 2FA is enabled. Message and data rates may apply.
You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP or contact us at service@betonyouapp.com. Note that opting out may affect your ability to use SMS-based security features.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate Bet App:
- Stripe: Payment processing and authorization holds
- Firebase (Google): Authentication, database, and cloud infrastructure
- hCaptcha: Bot detection and abuse prevention on our website contact form
- Twilio: SMS delivery for verification and 2FA
- SendGrid (Twilio): Transactional email delivery for account verification and security notifications
- Expo: Mobile app development and push notification delivery
Each third-party service processes data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review their policies.
5. Data Sharing
We share data only with the third-party service providers listed above, solely as necessary to operate the Service. We may also disclose information when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Bet App LLC, our users, or others.
6. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
Bet App LLC does not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Because we do not sell or share personal information, there is no need to opt out, but you may contact us at any time at service@betonyouapp.com with questions about our data practices.
7. Data Retention
We retain different categories of personal information for different periods:
- Account Information (identifiers, email, phone): Retained while your account is active. Upon account deletion, personally identifiable information is anonymized within 30 days
- Commitment and Transaction Records: Retained for a minimum of 7 years after account deletion for legal, tax, regulatory, and dispute resolution purposes, as required by financial record-keeping obligations
- Payment Records: Retained by Stripe in accordance with their data retention policies and payment industry requirements
- Device and Usage Data: Retained for up to 24 months for service improvement and security monitoring
- Contact Form Submissions: Retained for up to 3 years
- Verification Records (email and phone codes): Deleted immediately after successful verification or expiration
8. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit and at rest, secure authentication, and optional two-factor authentication (SMS or authenticator app). However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and other applicable privacy laws, you have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Right to Know: You may request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources of collection, our purposes for collecting it, and any third parties with whom we share it
- Right to Delete: You may request deletion of your personal information. When you delete your account through the app, personally identifiable information is anonymized. Certain records (commitments, transactions) are retained as described in Section 7
- Right to Correct: You may request correction of inaccurate personal information. You can update your email and phone number directly in the app under Profile > Account
- Right to Data Portability: You may request a copy of your personal information in a portable, machine-readable format (JSON). You can request this export through the app or by contacting us
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights

We will verify your identity before processing any request and respond within 45 days. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
10. Push Notifications
With your permission, we may send push notifications to remind you about active commitments, reporting deadlines, and other Service-related updates. You can manage push notification preferences through your device settings at any time.
11. Children’s Privacy
Bet App is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at service@betonyouapp.com.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by other appropriate means. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
